Effective as of September 17, 2020, Edceum Global., (“Edceum”) and its subsidiaries and or affiliated companies, (collectively, the “Edceum Group” or “we” or “us” or “our”) have updated our Privacy Policy (“Policy”).

When you fill out a form on our website you automatically agree to Edceum Terms and Privacy Policy and give Edceum the right to contact you by phone, email or SMS to assist with your inquiry. You also agree to get emails from Edceum about scholarships, admissions, and more.

This Policy details our commitment to protecting the privacy of individuals and institutions who visit our Websites (defined below) (“Website Visitors”), who register to use the services which we market or who attend or register to attend sponsored events or other events at which the Edceum Group participates (“Attendees”)). For the purposes of this Policy, the term, “Websites”, shall refer collectively to www.edceum.com as well as the other websites that the Edceum Group operates and that link to this Policy. This Privacy Policy describes how the Edceum Group collects, uses, shares and secures the personal information that you provide. We and our authorized partners may use cookies and other information gathering technologies for a variety of purposes. These technologies may provide us with personal information, information about devices and networks you utilize to access our Websites, and other information regarding your interactions with our Websites.
We may partner with third parties to either display advertising on the Websites or to manage our advertising on other sites. Our third party partners may also use technologies such as cookies to gather information about your activities on our Websites and other sites in order to suggest advertisements based upon your browsing activities and interests. Third-Party Service Providers:

Referrals:
If you choose to use our referral service to tell a friend about our services, we will ask you for your friend’s name and email address. You must only provide your friend’s name and email address if you have a reasonable belief they will not object to us contacting them. If you do, We will automatically send your friend an email inviting him or her to visit the Websites and will store this information for the purpose of sending this initial email, tracking the success of our referral program and other marketing activities. Community Forums:
The Websites may offer publicly accessible blogs, community forums, comments sections, discussion forums, or other interactive features (“Interactive Areas“). 8. International Transfer of Personal Information

We do not share your personal information with third parties, unless it is necessary to carry out your request, for our professional or legitimate business needs, or as required or permitted by law. We store personal information about Website Visitors and Subscribers within the EEA, the United States and in other countries and territories. To facilitate our global operations, we may transfer and access such personal information from around the world, including from other countries in which the Edceum Group has operations. Data Retention:
Where Edceum is the data controller of personal information (for example, personal information relating to Website Visitors, Attendees and individuals who register to use our Services), then we retain the personal information we collect where we have an ongoing legitimate business need to do so (for example, to provide you with our Services, to enable your participation in an event, and to comply with applicable legal, tax or accounting requirements).
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or aggregate it or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

Correcting, updating and removing your information:

Upon receipt of a request for us to remove the personal information, we will respond to their request within thirty (30) days. For example, if you are no longer an active visitor, you can request that we delete your information as provided in this Policy. Brazil:
Personal information collected, stored, used and/or processed by the Edceum Group, as described in this Policy, is collected, stored, used and/or processed in accordance with Brazilian Law No. 12,965/2014. Those individuals who use or access our Website or Services expressly consent to the collection, use, storage and processing of their personal information by us for the purposes described in this Policy.
Australia:
Personal information collected, stored, used and/or processed by the Edceum Group, as described in this Policy, is collected, stored, used and/or processed in compliance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Commonwealth) and the Australia Privacy Principles.
If you are dissatisfied with our handling of a complaint or do not agree with the resolution proposed by us, you may make a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (“OAIC”) by contacting the OAIC using the methods listed on their website at http://www.oaic.gov.au. Alternatively, you may request that we pass on the details of your complaint to the OAIC directly.
New Zealand:
Personal information collected, stored, used and/or processed by the Edceum Group, as described in this Policy, is collected, stored, used and/or processed in compliance with New Zealand’s Privacy Act 1993 and its 12 Information Privacy Principles (“NZ IPPs”).

Singapore:
Personal information collected, stored, used and/or processed by the Edceum Group, as described in this Policy, is collected, stored, used and/or processed in compliance with the Edceum Group’s obligations under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore (“PDPA”).
Canada:
Personal information (as the term is defined in the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act of Canada (“PIPEDA”)) will be collected, stored, used and/or processed by the Edceum Group in compliance with the Edceum Group’s obligations under PIPEDA.
California Residents:
The California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), which is effective as of January 1, 2020, regulates how we handle personal information of California residents and gives California residents certain rights with respect to their personal information.
Edceum is both a “business” and a “service provider” under the CCPA. The following supplemental privacy policy applies to information we collect in our role as a business—this is when we interact directly with you.
This supplemental privacy policy is effective as of January 1, 2020, shall apply only to residents of California, and may be subject to change. The general privacy policy shall continue to apply to the extent that it applies to you as a resident of California. Information that we collect automatically
i. Information from browsers, devices and servers : When you visit our websites, we collect information that web browsers, mobile devices and servers make available, such as the internet protocol address, browser type, language preference, time zone, referring URL, date and time of access, operating system, mobile device manufacturer and mobile network information. We include these in our log files to understand more about visitors to our websites.
ii. Information from first party cookies and tracking technologies: We use temporary and permanent cookies to identify users of our services and to enhance user experience. i. Referrals: If someone has referred any of our services to you through any of our referral programs, that person may have provided us your name, email address and other personal information. If you provide us information about another person, or if another person gives us your information, we will only use that information for the specific reason for which it was provided to us.
ii. Information from our institution or recruitment partners: If you contact any of our institution or recruitment partners, or otherwise express interest in any of our services to them, the institution or recruitment partner may pass your name, email address, company name and other information to Edceum. If you register for or attend an event that is sponsored by Edceum, the event organizer may share your information with us. Edceum may also receive information about you from review sites if you comment on any review of our services, and from other third-party service providers that we engage for marketing our services.
iii. Information from social media sites and other publicly available sources: When you interact or engage with us on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Instagram through posts, comments, questions and other interactions, we may collect such publicly accessible available information, including profile information, to allow us to connect with you, improve our servces, or better understand user reactions and issues. We must tell you that once collected, this information may remain with us even if you delete it from the social media sites. Edceum may also add and update information about you, from other publicly available sources.

In addition to the purposes mentioned above, we may use your information for the following purposes:
